I think it’s safe to say that Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite holidays! Not sure if it’s all of the red and pink hearts or all of the candy and treats that have us giddy about this day or if it’s simply because it’s about LOVE! We put together a festive little party for the cutest little peanuts to get them excited for love day. The party guests included the cutest little girls, Zoee and Nora, who’s momma is the darling Sharstin Miller, and the sweetest Lucy, who’s mom is the incredibly talented Lindsey Stewart with Green Apple Photography! And of course we had to have a little gentlemen at this party so our very own Beckham joined in the fun!
Putting together a little party for your peanuts and their friends is a perfect way to teach them traditions about holidays and to teach them how to interact with other little peanuts in a fun atmosphere. We can’t even tell you how fun these peanuts had and still talk about this day. We encourage you to get festive with your little ones and we have some darling and easy ideas to share with you!
All you need to get started is some festive Valentine’s Day Decor! We made this darling mini heart garland out of felt. We traced a heart stencil onto the different colored felt sheets, cut them out and then strung them with string. So easy and really adds a great detail element to your party!
For the table centerpiece we used the cutest Valentine’s Day Arrows by Fletcher and Fox! If you have not seen their work yet, head to their shop now and you will die and want one of everything! Lucky for you we are GIVING AWAY a free set of these arrows on our instagram page! The little peanuts had a blast running around the room putting little love notes into the felt envelope chair backers from Pottery Barn Kids! This is a fun activity for little ones to do at a party and if you are looking for a fun craft project you might even try to make these large felt envelops yourself!
We created this heart place mats by tracing a large heart shape on red linen poster size card stock and then painted the doilie edges and “love” with white paint. simple + cute + after the party is over they make for easy clean up!
A Valentine’s Day party wouldn’t be complete without some french macaroons, strawberry milk {or as they referred to it as “pink milk”} and some heart paper straws!
At the end of the party we let them get their wiggles out by running around and even playing a little kissing game! This probably was a little more for our entertainment… but oh so cute! You can have fun capturing these moments with your little peanuts and their party friends.
Make sure to check back tomorrow to see the rest of our Valentine’s Day party! We will also be sharing more party ideas, fun craft projects and treats the rest of this week!
