We couldn’t be more excited for the Fourth of July to finally be here and we are counting down the minutes until we get to celebrate! This is probably our favorite holiday of the year because it represents summer and fun! Our Independence Day festivities usually consist of a parade in the morning and family BBQ’s in the afternoon and evening followed by an always exciting display of fireworks!
We love to throw a party around here and especially love to throw one for our little peanuts to get them excited about the holiday! Last week we put together a little Four of July party for some darling little peanuts and can we just say that there isn’t a more adorable location then the McPolin Farm in Park City, Utah! The kids had a serious blast eating outside in the beautiful weather and playing with the giant flag! Today we are sharing some images from our party to help inspire you while planning your Independence Day activities. Creating a kids table can be easy and fun and her is how we designed ours!
To create a table setting we wanted to keep it easy but also cute for the little ones. We bought striped & gingham fabrics from our local Ikea and created a table runner and matching napkins. We put the fabric napkins inside mason gars and filled them with our favorite wooden utensils by Sucre Shop! For each place setting we used cute star patterned plates from Pottery Barn Kids! To create unique + easy centerpieces we used a cute latern from Ikea and made our own tin can vases! This DIY project is so easy to do and you can use old soup cans you already have! We spray painted ours and then used white paint to make stripes and stars. Add some fresh flowers and you have the perfect little centerpiece for your little party guests!
It’s safe to say that the little party friends had the most fun playing with the giant flag that was blowing in the wind! Adore these gorgeous shots by our friend Lyndsey Fagerlund! Make sure so check back tomorrow because we will be sharing some easy + festive foods to service the little ones at your 4th of July parties!
