We love to see fun birthday parties full of cute details and today we are sharing this fun + colorful vintage circus themed birthday party designed by cute momma, Kayla. There are so many fun things you can do for a circus themed birthday and we just adore the vintage popcorn boxes, the animal cupcake toppers and the fun masks and mustaches for little party guests!
“When I was pregnant and found out that I was having a boy, I instantly knew what his first birthday party theme was going to be and when he turned 5 months old, I started putting the plans into action with a vintage circus themed birthday! You see, that’s just me and it’s what I love to do! One night, as I strolled through the dollar bin at Michael’s, I stumbled upon treasure and found so many items that I needed for my son’s birthday! I found invites, animal masks, favor bags, stamps, paper lanterns and cupcake liners all matching the vintage circus theme I was looking for. From there, all the rest of the decor I made or collected from antique/thrift stores and dollar stores.
We ate lots of circus food that included hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, bubble gum, lollipops and butterfinger pretzels!
For the cake and cupcakes, we ordered from Simply Cake who did an amazing job! The cupcakes were all made of “Hummingbird Cake” which is their signature cake with cream cheese filling. Yumm! We topped those off with some small circus animals from Target.
For games, we played pin the tail on the donkey and everyone had fun with the animal masks and mustaches.
