Yesterday we shared with you all some behind the scenes looks at the “A Walk in the Wildflowers” Tea Party that we styled for Pottery Barn Kids and today we are diving more into the details of this darling little girls birthday party inspiration!
The theme of the party all started and was inspired by the Lavender Elephant Tea Set from PBK. From there we decided to bring in ombre shades of lavender and modern rustic details like wildflowers, feathers and textured fabrics.
Spring and summer are the perfect seasons to throw an outdoor birthday party. Hold it in your own backyard or a local park. Plan to allow space for the seating area and desserts table. To create the perfect tea party setting, think pillows or poufs with a low table ideal for small party guests. Check out the “How to Plan A Walk in the Wildflowers” Tea Party all of your own with the weekly planning schedule break down leading all the way up to the event!
Every tea party needs yummy little sweet treats and we came up with a few perfectly fitting recipes that are darling and also easy to make! Check out our Elephant Sugar Cookies, French Macarons, Homemade Flower Marshmallows and refreshing Lavender Lemonade!
We loved the idea of playing off the cute elephant teapot, so we created a similar icon that was used throughout the party’s design elements from the invitations to the cupcake and cake toppers to favor tags! Download your own printables HERE!
We wanted to play up the backyard garden idea and also bring in a touch of a Bohemian feel with a fun guide for making floral crowns for the party guests, a rustic textured fabric and feather garland and our favorite detail… the ombre dip dyed favor bags!
